Why Vela Exists
I built Vela Living because I know what it feels like to move.
I've relocated more times than I can count. As a mom, a traveling professional, and someone who pays close attention to the environment I live in, I've experienced firsthand how much a temporary home affects everything — your sleep, your health, your sense of calm in the middle of an already stressful transition.
Moving is one of the hardest things a family goes through. It disrupts routine, comfort, and the quiet sense of safety that home provides. The last thing you should have to do is arrive somewhere unfamiliar and immediately start wondering what's in the cleaning products, why the air smells like that, or whether the mattress is going to wreck your sleep for a month.
Not a hotel room. Not a staged rental with a small, frumpy sofa you never sit on. A real home — with furniture worth sinking into, natural materials that feel good to live with, and an environment that supports your health rather than working against it.
In my own home, I don't use Teflon. I don't use synthetic fragrances in cleaning products, laundry, or air fresheners. I pay attention to indoor humidity and air quality. I choose natural fibers — cotton over polyester, because polyester is plastic and you don't need to sleep wrapped in it. These aren't trends for me. They're how I live.
Vela Living is built on the same standard. Full stop.
Every product in a Vela home is verified and listed. Every material is chosen deliberately. Every turnover is held to the same requirements — not as an aspiration, but as a baseline we don't move from.
You can ask what's in your home and get a real answer. That's not a marketing promise. It's just how we operate.

What’s actually in a Vela home
Every home is fully furnished and move-in ready from day one. Beyond that, every material, product, and finish has been chosen against a specific standard — and documented.
No synthetic fragrance. No off-gassing furniture. No harsh cleaning chemicals. Low-VOC paint throughout. Natural fiber textiles. Stainless steel cookware. An air purifier in every room.
We serve relocating professionals and their families, traveling healthcare workers, and project-based workers who need a real home for 30 days or more — and who don't want to compromise on how they live just because they're not in their permanent space.
Nothing harmful included.
Let’s find the right fit.
Tell us where you need to be, how long you'll be there, and what matters most to you about where you stay. We'll take it from there.
